The coming days can be crunch days with trying to get everything done, and balance it with focusing on the birth of Jesus. Pause and look around.

With eash decoration think of a way to connect it to Jesus. He is the light of the world and all the lights become reminders of that. God stated, “I am like the evergreen tree bearing fruit in all seasons” Hosea 14:8 is a great reminder of  why we honor God with trees, as well as to recall that He invites us all to be part of His family tree as adopted children (Romans 8:15).

Sing a traditional carol that focuses on Jesus and reflect on the words. Praise God for coming and the gift of salvation.

Look at a nativity scene and think abut each person connected to that special birth.

In buying and wrapping gifts pray for the person who will receive it, for God to bless the individual in the coming year.

Be sure to relax and enjoy the season.
